Work experience

My primary working experience has been in hospitality, an industry driven by service. Starting as a waiter I have been given the opportunity to work myself up to the position of supervisor, in a restaurant operating on a level dear to my heart. As an organic seafood restaurant, the company focuses on delivering and maintaining a high level of quality. This requires the staff to know the ins and outs of every product and to present the guests a night to never forget.

The internship at the company was solely aimed to collect information for the graduation thesis, however, I opted for a possibility to operate on the work floor. This has given me the opportunity to execute a junior marketing/sales position 4 days a week, with a total duration of 20 weeks. This experience has been beneficial for my planning skills and formal work ethics.

As a junior recruiter, daily tasks consisted of candidate searches, interviews, administration tasks, cold calling, and generating process reports. The company was active in the Life Science industry, this was unknown territory and required me to adapt and learn quickly. The projects had short termination deadlines, which resulted in high pressure and the need to succeed. In the internship period of 20 weeks, multiple projects were completed.
